HOLE IN ONE WITH INSURANCE
Don’t forget to sign up at the Pro Shop for HOLE IN ONE insurance for only $10!  If you get a hole in one, $300 credit will be applied to your member account OR you may choose $200 in credit and a Glen Eagle plaque to commemorate your achievement.  The Hole In One insurance is also good for any other social play at Glen Eagle when playing with at least one other player.

LEAGUE EVENTS
BIRDIES AND CHIP-INS AND HOLE IN ONE'S
On each League Day, when the game format is playing your own ball, you will find a sign-up sheet on the Women's 18 League bulletin board for Birdies, Chip-ins, Eagles & Hole In One’s.  If you scored any of these, record your name, date and scoring hole on the sign-up sheet for that Tuesday’s League play.  At the end of the season at our final luncheon, you will receive cash awards for each one of these you scored throughout the season.  Remember, these only count on League days when you play your own ball through all 18 holes! 

RINGERS
The Pro Shop will take care of all ringer data.  At the end of the season, your score is added up and the most improved winners are awarded cash payouts at the final League luncheon.

MOST IMPROVED PLAYER
League members handicaps from the end of the previous League season to the end of the current League season are utilized in the USGA mathematical formula to establish the Most Improved Player for their Glen Eagle play.  The winner is announced, and the prize awarded at the League closing luncheon.
LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP
This is a 2-week event in March that culminates with the season's closing luncheon and prize awards.  Any League member who has participated in at least 6 League events in the current season, is eligible to play for the League Championship.  The League Champion and Flight Winners are announced, and prizes awarded at the League closing luncheon. 

WOMEN'S CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
This event is a 2 consecutive day event (Saturday and Sunday) in February.  Only Glen Eagle owners are eligible to play in this event.  Tenants are not eligible.  If you are eligible, you should give it a try, play and have some fun!

GLEN EAGLE LADIES 18-HOLE GOLF ASSOCIATION
POLICIES & PROCEDURES

1. ELIGIBILITY:  To be eligible for membership in the Ladies Golf Association (LGA), dues must be submitted annually.  Dues will be applied to each member’s account on their first date of Association play of each year.  If a member chooses to leave the league any time during the season to join the 9-Hole league, she will forfeit her dues from the 18-Hole league and will be required to pay the current dues outlined in the 9-Hole league documents.
2. RULES:   All U.S.G.A. Rules apply with the exception of local rules established by Glen Eagle Golf & Country Club.  The local rules are available in the Pro Shop.
3. GOLF SEASON: The winter golf season for the LGA members is from November 1 through April 30.  The awards season runs from November 1 to mid-March.
4. SIGN-UP:  Members may either sign-up on the Chelsea system via the Glen Eagle web page or in the Pro Shop.
5. STANDING COMMITTEES:  The Board of Directors will establish standing committees, which may include:  Games/Schedules, Ringer Board, Social/Lunches, Mentors, and Birdies & Chip-Ins.
6. MEMBER-GUEST TOURNAMENT : A committee of members will plan the activities for the tournament including establishing a budget, developing a theme, creating a lunch menu and, determining the playing format.  Members will be allowed to choose playing partners.  The LGA President will serve as a liaison to the committee.
7. LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP:  In order to be eligible for the League Championship tournament, an LGA member must have participated in six (6) regular league play events.  There will be two rounds on consecutive league days during the last two (2) weeks of March. 
8. RULES OF PLAY & RESPONSIBILITIES ON LEAGUE DAY:

Players shall register in the Pro Shop before starting play.
Score cards shall be signed, attested and turned in to the Pro Shop.
The Pro Shop shall be responsible for GHIN posting of all applicable scores on league day.
The Pro Shop shall handle the prize calculations so distribution will be equal in all flights.  40% of each flight is to be paid. All play shall be conducted in conformity with the USGA rules & etiquette of golf plus any local rules.  If there is a question regarding the rules while playing, a 2nd ball shall be played and correct interpretation will be made in the Pro Shop when play is completed. 
The ball will be played as it lies, unless directed to do otherwise by the Pro Shop.
All penalties incurred must be assessed.
Members shall record any birdies or chip-ins on the chart located on the 18-Hole bulletin board following an applicable game. Members will also record scores on the Ringer Card which is located in the Library or Pro Shop.
League play will be from the #4 Tee Box.
Late & early tee times are offered on alternating weeks (See LGA booklet when exceptions apply).   
    

1. Sign-up at the Pro Shop for league. Women's golf leagues are held on Tuesdays and Men’s League on Wednesdays. See schedule for list of events and specific dates available in golf shop.

2. Weekly Sign-up. League sign up is available on the Chelsea System.  The Women's sign-up stays open on Chelsea until Saturday at noon. The Men’s sign-up stays open on Chelsea until Sunday at noon. Once the sign-up sheet is closed, those still wishing to play will be placed on a waiting list and will be assigned places in the order they signed up. The golf shop staff recommends that you sign up early for the following week’s event when you are playing on a Tuesday or Wednesday.

3. Handicaps. All members who play in scheduled Women's and Mens Leagues must have a handicap before they will be permitted to play. To establish a handicap, come into the golf shop and ask the staff for help in creating one. There is a $25.00 annual fee for handicaps. Handicaps can be created using scores from previous rounds here or other local courses. The staff can also enter scores from courses in other parts of the country as long as we have the course and slope rating.


The Glen Eagle Golf & Country Club Golf Committee recognizes the need for a handicap flag program.
The handicap flag is available to those members whose physical disabilities prevent them from the full enjoyment of a round of golf. To be eligible for a handicap flag you must present a written note from your doctor or have a valid handicap placard.

The Golf Committee has established rules and regulations for those members utilizing the handicap flag.

• Permission to use handicapped flag must be obtained through the pro shop.
• Carts are permitted on Par 3 holes, using the 90 degree rule.
• If there are two flag holders in the same group, both must ride in the same cart.
• If the course has restricted play due to heavy rains, flag privileges will not be permitted.
• No cart is permitted closer than 30 feet from the green.
• No cart is permitted behind any green or on or close to the tee box.
• Flag holders must be considerate of the golf course at all times. If caught in a wet area, drive slowly to avoid spinning the cart tires.
• Rangers will strictly enforce the handicap flag policy and procedures for all players.
• Anyone who does not adhere to the above policy will have their handicapped flag usage suspended and/or revoked.

All walkers must obtain a tee time either through CHELSEA or the golf shop. Walkers not having a tee time will go after the walkers with tee times in a first come first serve method. Tee times can be requested 7 days in advance through CHELSEA, or three days in advance in the golf shop.

• All walkers must check in the golf shop prior to the beginning of play.
• Walking is reserved to members, tenants, direct family members and their guests.
• All walkers must carry sand to fill their divots. 
• Appropriate fees must be paid for tenants, direct family members, and guests of members.
• During the months of January through April walking will begin as close to 3:30pm as possible.
• All other months walking times will be at the discretion of the golf staff.

** Sign-up for league play is done in the Pro Shop or on Chelsea. You must sign up each week and sign up will open the Tuesday before the event, and close Saturday @ 3:00 PM.

Birdies and Chip-Ins

We award monetary prizes for Eagles, Birdies and Chip-ins for regular League Day play. If you should get any of these on a League Day, please email Deb Maust at [email protected] or text to 717-578-1694.  Provide Deb your name, your witnesses' name, the date, and the hole number.  We no longer put a notice on the Board for this.  These prizes will NOT be awarded on days we play scrambles or shambles. The monetary awards will be distributed at the luncheon after your accomplishment.

Weekly Prizes

Each week Pro Shop Credit prizes are awarded for the games that are played. You will be emailed the results each week.

Monthly Luncheons

We have monthly themed luncheons where we have an opportunity to meet as a group and be informed of what is going on within our league. Everyone receives a raffle ticket for one of many prizes.  We recognize our past members at an Alumni Luncheon in February.

Member Guest/ Invitationals

Our League is part of the Collier County Women's Nine Hole League. This entitles our members to participate in Collier and Lee County Member - Guest. You will see Flyers posted on the Nine Hole Board inviting you to participate in golf and lunch at one of 32 participating clubs.  Clubs usually only accept 4-6 women from each club. There is a sign-up sheet on our Nine Hole board for each of these events.  Many Clubs have gone to a “Member-Guest” format vs Invitational.  They often extend these events to all clubs for participation. 

League Championship

We hold a Championship Tournament in March. Trophies are awarded to a 4 and 5 Tee champion. You must play 5 games during the season to be eligible to participate in the championship.  Scrambles are not considered regular games. We also recognize the Most Improved Player of the season. Your scores are automatically put into the GHIN on Tuesday. You are required to put your own scores in every time you play other than Tuesday. You can do this at the Pro Shop or through the USGA app. Your handicap is calculated by GHIN and the MIP is awarded by this system.

4/5 TEES

At the beginning of each season you will choose which tee box you will play from, 4's or 5's. Once you choose, you must play from that tee for the season.  Whichever Tee you decide to play from your handicap will be adjusted accordingly.

Annual Charity

Our league believes in helping our Naples community by adopting a charity each season.  We choose a charity that offers help to local families.  Once we choose our charity, we raise money throughout the season or collect donations.
